This policy explains how Off and On (“we”, “us”) handles personal data you submit through this website. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Off and On is a sole trader business operated by Scott Windley, based in Monmouth, Wales. We are the data controller for any personal data you submit through this site.

What we collect
When you submit the contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your business name (optional)
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The message you write
We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not use analytics that profile individual users.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit only to respond to your enquiry and discuss potential work with you. The lawful basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
Where it goes
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, who forward the message to our email inbox. Formspree is a third-party processor; their privacy policy applies to data in transit.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept in our inbox for as long as the conversation is active, plus a further 24 months for record-keeping. After that, they are deleted. If you become a client, your details are kept for the duration of our working relationship plus 6 years for tax/accounting purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. We share data only with:
- Formspree (form submission processor)
- Our email provider (to receive your message)
- HMRC or other authorities, where required by law
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk)
